Description
The Intel Core i3-540 is a processor from the first generation of Intel Core i3 processors. It was launched in 2010 and is designed for use in desktop computers. The processor has two cores and supports Hyper-Threading technology, which gives it the ability to run four threads simultaneously. The i3-540 has a clock speed of 3.06 GHz and a 4 MB SmartCache. The processor also supports Intel Virtualization Technology (VT-x), Intel 64 and Enhanced Intel SpeedStep Technology. The i3-540 is an energy-saving processor with a TDP of just 73 watts. It is well suited for use in a desktop computer for everyday tasks such as web browsing, email and office applications.
